Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa

Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa, Inc., provides a platform for parish law enforcement to receive information (tips) anonymously on crimes from concerned community members. This effort increases tips which in turn increase the number of crimes solved and arrests in Tangipahoa Parish.

Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa is a 501c3 Non-Profit. Since 2004: 7,549 tips - 1,648 arrests-cleared 2,625 cases, 888-Fugitive Apprehensions, 2,476 Charges laid-Approved 956 rewards @ 225,950. Total property, cash, and drugs seized: $594,421.

REWARDS are paid from Crime Stoppers' ACT50 account-Funds come from criminal court fees and fines. This money can ONLY be used for things that help us gather tips and pay rewards.

VISION : To create a safe secure world though justice for our children and children's children.

Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa Parish does much more than post wanted criminals, solve crimes with their law enforcement partners, and pay rewards for anonymous tips: this organization offers a variety of FREE Community Crime Prevention Programs.

Community Crime Prevention Programs:
KEYS ( Keeping Every Youth Safe) is a free leadership prevention, & advocacy program registered parish wide along with a SADD ( Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapter. These programs have been in existence since 2011 and expanded into the Tangipahoa Parish School System's junior high and high school campuses as part of our Safe School initiative in 2020.

Safe School Initiative - Crime Prevention & Safety Anonymous Reporting App and Presentations in schools launched in 2019 and serves 33 Tangipahoa Parish School System (TPSS) schools. This program serves over 19,000 TPSS Students and their families.

Senior Safety Program in partnership with SALT/TRIAD, the voluntary Council of Aging, and our other seniors community partners.

Neighborhood Watch Training in partnership with Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement agencies.

Community Conversations & Crime Walks to raise awareness about crime prevention and prevent and solve crimes in our neighborhoods and community.

Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention program for teens, teachers, parents, and the community at large.
