Tau Chapter Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc

Tau Chapter, is one of the many Greek Letter Chapters of the National Sorority. Tau Chapter was organized March

1957, by the late Mary Louise Mercy. At that time she was the Dean of Pledges. She was assisted in this endeavor by

Mesdames Dorothy Davis and Bernice Everton. The same year, Tau Chapter was initiated into the National Sorority of

Chi Eta Phi by the National Organization. Tau started with eighteen members. Tau Chapter has grown continuously in

strength, unity, dignity, and accomplishments.

This progress has been made through strong leadership and guidance. It is with much pride and gratitude that we are

actively involved in community and civic affairs and the promotion of education on the local and national level
