TEAMability: Where Ability Comes First

For over 22 years, TEAMability has been a bold, purpose-driven nonprofit that sees ability—especially in individuals with complex disabilities who are often overlooked or underestimated. Founded in 2003, we’ve grown into San Antonio’s go-to resource for collaborative, innovative, and deeply human-centered therapy services.

Our vision is to create a community that challenges society’s assumptions about individuals with disabilities. We believe in identifying human potential, encouraging achievement of the seemingly impossible, and celebrating progress at every stage.

Our mission is to work in collaboration with families and communities to give individuals with disabilities the opportunity to achieve their potential and experience the joy of success.

What Makes TEAMability One-of-a-Kind?

• We serve those others won’t. Traditional clinics often turn away individuals with severe mobility or communication challenges. We fill that gap with rehab techs, specialized equipment, and a belief in every person’s potential.


• We innovate with heart. From eye-gaze communication devices to aquatic therapy for children with tracheotomies, our therapies are cutting-edge and deeply personalized.


• We’re the only provider in the region offering Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) assessments and integrated therapy services in a state-of-the-art clinic at The MAC.

Learning by Doing

TEAMability’s transdisciplinary model unites occupational, physical, and speech therapists with master special educators. Together with families, we design individualized learning plans that motivate active participation in life and learning. Our adapted environments provide the optimal setting for success—often for the very first time.
