TeamMates Mentoring Program - Hastings Chapter

Our mission is to positively impact the world by inspiring students to reach their full potential through mentoring. We believe that in order to make a difference in the life of a student, all you have to do is Be There. Matches meet for 30-60 minutes each week at the mentee's school with the goal of supporting the student through high school graduation and post-secondary education. TeamMates is the largest school-based mentoring program in the Midwest, serving more than 47,000 students.

Founded by Dr. Tom Osborne in 1991, TeamMates has been serving students to help them reach their full potential for over 32 years. As mentors, we have an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a student simply by making a commitment to visit them at school once a week. Building this relationship gives our mentees someone they can trust and allows them a greater sense of belonging. Over the years, TeamMates has found that former mentees often pay their experience forward by becoming mentors themselves. 95% of TeamMates Mentees graduate from high school on time and 82% say they feel more hopeful about their future. In addition, many mentees receive scholarships to continue their education beyond high school.
