Telespond Senior Services, Inc.

Since its inception in 1974, Telespond Senior Services has served aging adults and their caregivers in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our programs and organization were designed to encourage activity, promote independence and provide valuable programs and services to enrich the lives of clients and families navigating the aging process.

At Telespond Senior Services, we provide active programming and top rated care for individuals 55 years of age and older with wide ranges of cognitive and physical abilities, including individuals who are physically or cognitively impaired and unable to perform their activities of daily living (ADLs) independently; are experiencing chronic health conditions that require regular health or medical supervision; and adults newly discharged from an acute care hospital or rehabilitation center.

In 2025 we continue to make remarkable strides  to make a difference in the lives of those we serve, including:

•   addressing social isolation through our Senior Companion Program, 

•   ensuring older adults can age in place at home rather than in a nursing home by  participating in our Adult Day and In-Home Care Programs,

•   delivering much needed respite to family caregivers when their loved one attends our Adult Day Center,  

•   connecting older adult role models to young people through our Foster Grandparent Program,

•   providing a rewarding employment experience to eligible Lackawanna College students who participate in the Students/Employees         Scholarship Program, and 

•   recently the ribbon cutting on the first-of-its-kind in Pennsylvania, Older Adult Advocacy Center, which will very soon provide a safe space and structed support for victims of elder abuse ensuring they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.  

We are grateful for the generosity of our donors, funders, collaborators, volunteers, and the community. Every minute shared and every dollar contributed has been instrumental in our ability to deliver a robust array of services that truly make a difference in every life we touch.
