The Texas Cotton Gin Museum keeps the legacy of cotton alive for all generations through the maintenance and preservation of the 1914 Burton Farmers Gin - the oldest operating cotton gin in America.

The Texas Cotton Gin Museum preserves the history of cotton and cotton ginning for a domestic and international audience. The museum showcases the 1914 era Burton Farmers Gin, the oldest operating cotton gin left in the U.S., with daily guided tours, and a 33 year annual festival. The museum also features programming that includes multi-media and static exhibits, artifact and archive preservation, outreach presentations, and living history demonstrations. The annual visitation in 2020 was 4,551 due to the pandemic, down from 8,401 visitors in 2019.
