The Bridge Project is a grassroots organization created out of a Lincoln Woodstock Rotary Club supported initiative. Community leaders and members were at a loss because there was such a huge deficit in the combination of resources that were available for individuals in the Lincoln Woodstock community who direly needed help. In 2016, The Bridge Project became a registered 501(c)(3) and a safe space where individuals could feel comfortable asking for help. We stand fully behind our mission statement, “Working to strengthen our community by bridging those in need with the resources for positive life changes.”
We are the resource hub for those in need, who have nowhere else to turn. We connect the needed resources and walk alongside our participants to help them better themselves. Our organization is not about changing lives for people, but we’re about providing the tools and unwavering support that encourages individuals to change themselves and their life choices for the better. We take a stand for what is possible in our community, our neighbors, and ourselves. Fully believing that the strength of our community depends on the strength of the individuals in it.
Through individual strategies, people centered programming, and measurable goal setting we know in one way or another we have the ability to impact each and every corner of our community. All of our services are offered at no cost and not based on income to the individual participant and their families. We are “the bridge” in finding the resources needed for each individual who walks through our doors. We firmly believe in the power of meeting individuals where they are at and helping them meet their goals by implementing smaller goals. We can proudly say that we have worked with individuals from all walks of life and we know the reality is that mental health, addiction, homelessness, childcare, and employment challenges don't discriminate. Fueled by a deep sense of purpose, we are committed to equipping the individuals who seek our support with essential healthy mental and emotional resources. Our ultimate aim is to empower them to cultivate fulfilling and joyful lives, enabling them to embrace their roles as valuable and contributing members of our community with dignity and self-respect. We strive to foster resilience and promote well-being, ensuring that those we serve are not merely recipients of aid, but active participants in building brighter futures for themselves and for their families.
The Bridge Project encompasses several community-focused programs:
Our operational structure is anchored by two dedicated full-time professionals: Tracy, who serves as the Executive Director, providing strategic leadership and overall organizational management; Sherrill, who functions as the Executive Assistant and implements our youth programs, offering crucial administrative support, and facilitating efficient office operations.
