Thousands of youth throughout Washington are hurting, homeless, and hindered from living their full potential. Many of these youth battle depression, isolation, addiction, and trauma–often fighting to survive just for the day.

Thousands of youth have found safety, healing, and a home through The Coffee Oasis Youth Programs. 717 youth connected to services for their safety & well-being through The Coffee Oasis in 2023. Youth like Cody…
“Without The Coffee Oasis I wouldn’t have the job I have now. I would have given up on my mental health and everything if it weren’t for the help of The Coffee Oasis.” -Cody
Cody lived on and off the streets from the age of 16. While staying at a friend’s house, he found out about The Coffee Oasis youth shelter.
Cody stayed at the shelter almost a year and had a positive experience. “The staff has basically become family. This is the only shelter I’ve been to where you know the staff cares about you and they’ll do everything they can to see you succeed.”
While staying at The Coffee Oasis, Cody went through the job training program. He expressed this was helpful in learning computer skills, money management, and customer service. He then was able to secure a job. However, his time at the shelter was not without challenges as he struggled with suicidal thoughts and depression.
“They really helped me out with my depression and let me know I’m not alone. It’s a wonderful place to get help. If I hadn’t been connected with The Coffee Oasis I would probably be dead.”

The Coffee Oasis is a Christian non-profit organization that exists to create pathways of opportunity for youth to be restored in heart, soul, mind, and body. We believe youth are the future of our community, but many are hurting, homeless, and hindered from living their full potential. The Coffee Oasis youth programs offer a place for the community to invest in their future—the youth. We do this through creating safe shared spaces, mentorship, street and school outreach, goal setting, job training, shelter, and crisis services. The only way for our mission to succeed is through the support of the entire community—intentional intergenerational and cross-cultural investment. We accomplish this mission through a sustainable and successful coffee business. The cafés offer a “third place” for the community to gather and buy products with the added value of all profits returning to create opportunities for youth.
