Our Story: Why We Started the DiVittorio Center for Autism

The DiVittorio Center for Autism was born from a deeply personal journey—one rooted in love, frustration, and an unwavering desire to create change. When my son was diagnosed with profound autism and labelled as nonverbal, I searched everywhere for the right services to support him. What I found was a devastating lack of options—waitlists that stretched on for years and programs that didn’t begin to address the unique needs of children like mine.

I quickly realized my son Nicholas and I weren’t alone. Countless families in our community were facing the same barriers: limited access, inadequate resources, and a system unprepared for the complexities of profound autism. That’s when my purpose became clear—if the services didn’t exist, I would create them.

The DiVittorio Center for Autism is our answer to that call.

We are committed to supporting individuals with autism and their families from the moment of diagnosis through age 22. Our center offers a continuum of care—from early intervention and personalized therapy to medical support and transition planning—tailored specifically for those with significant needs. I know firsthand how overwhelming the road can be, and we’re here to ensure that no parent ever has to navigate it alone.

Every child deserves a chance to thrive. Every family deserves support that’s timely, compassionate, and tailored to their journey. That’s what we fight for every day—and with your help, we can expand our impact and reach even more families who are still searching for hope.
