The Education Foundation of Canyon ISD

A nonprofit organization

The Education Foundation of Canyon ISD strives to generate and distribute resources to provide enhancements for excellence in education to CISD, its students and staff.  We do this by awarding classroom and professional development grants, student leadership grants and student scholarships.  We have exceptional teachers who have the desire to give extraordinary instruction, but may be faced with a lack of resources. Our desire is to encourage innovative instruction, while providing an additional means of financial support.

All proceeds from the Panhandle Gives campaign allows us to continue to provide resources for our educators and students that they could not receive from other sources.

Who We Are

The Education Foundation of Canyon ISD was founded in 1999 to develop voluntary financial support for programs designed to bring about significant, measurable gains in students’ academic performance and enhance the individual performance of Canyon ISD staff through specialized motivational training programs.

The Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports all students equally through tax-deductible contributions. The Foundation has provided tens of thousands of dollars of funding for programs that make a difference to the students and staff of the District.
The Board of Directors is a diverse group of educational stakeholders, including corporate and local business leaders, parents, school district and campus administrators, educators and community members.

Funding Priorities
The Foundation is committed to working in Canyon ISD to support the efforts of students and teachers. Program areas are designed to provide resources to enhance, supplement or extend the educational services of Canyon ISD. Funding does not replace or alter the use of funds from traditional tax-based sources
