The Friendly Door Inc- Meals on Wheels of Iowa Park

The Friendly Door Senior Activity Center is for all senior adults age 60 and above. We offer  Meals on Wheels, Congregate Meals and Transportation programs. Our Meals on Wheels program is for home bound seniors that are unable to drive and cook for them selves. We provide them with a hot notational meals 5 days a week and a well fare check. This allows us to make sure they haven't fallen or gotten hurt during the evening. We offer a Congregate meal to seniors that wish to come to the center for lunch and friendly fellowship. Our Congregate clients can come and play bingo, dominos, work a puzzle, exercise or just hang out with friends. Our Transportation program is offered for all seniors adults in the Iowa Park area. The Transportation program will pick them up and take them to their Dr appt, bank, pharmacy, post office, beauty shop or store. This program allows them to stay more independent longer. 

Our goals is to provide a hot nutritional meal to any senior or disabled adult in our community that needs it. All meals are on a donation basis. It is important to us that no client is every turned away based on income. We work hard on fundraisers and gathering local donations so we are able to serve as many in our community as we can at little or no donation from the client.
