The Gamma Omega Foundation

The Gamma Omega Foundation annually selects highly qualified high school students from Hampton Roads, VA to receive a scholarship to assist in their pursuit of a higher education.

The Gamma Omega Foundation invites you to donate and join with us in support of this effort to educate, cultivate, and advocate for the community in which we live and serve. 

The Gamma Omega Foundation was formed by the Gamma Omega Alumni Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. in 2020 as a 501 © (3) tax-exempt non-profit foundation. Its mission is to promote scholarship, leadership, citizenship, fidelity and brotherhood through social service, community outreach and charitable donations. Gamma Omega Foundation is committed to charitable works that educate, cultivate, and advocate for the local community and its stakeholders.

The Gamma Omega Foundation’s vision is to create close working relationships within the residential and business communities we serve that will support our programs and make a difference in the lives of the community. We encourage and welcome support of our programs from community members and business professionals. Together we can continue a strong commitment to educate, cultivate and advocate!

One of our more prominent community service programs is the James Arrington Memorial Scholarship, established in 1994 to honor the memory of fallen fraternity member James N. Arrington and to promote Scholarship among rising college first year students from our local high schools.
