Lake Waramaug Association

Today is "Give Local" and the Lake Waramaug Association needs your help!

You know firsthand what makes Lake Waramaug worth cherishing. Think of the moments the lake has given you. The fireworks reflected on the water. A quiet morning swim. Days of pure joy with friends and family. None of that happens by accident. It happens because this community comes together to make it so.

Your gift today directly advances:

• The Annual 4th of July Fireworks: a community celebration over the lake - one of our community's most beloved traditions

• Lake It Grow: replacing aging and diseased trees along the State Park shoreline

• Lake a Hike: free guided hikes to inspire conservation

• Lake It Slow: promoting safer roads for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers

•
Lake It Easy: Boat Safe, Paddle Smart, Swim Aware education

•
Bear Aware: reducing human/wildlife conflict through education

•
Advocacy & Awareness: keeping you informed about issues affecting the lake

Giving today during Give Local also unlocks bonus pool funds, maximizing your impact. And membership numbers matter - when we advocate for the lake, a strong, organized community carries weight.

Your gift to the Lake Waramaug Association in any amount also makes you a 2026 member: a part of a group of people who care about and appreciate our beloved lake and community. As a membership organization, we're here to advocate on your behalf on issues that matter to you, and to keep you informed on matters impacting life on the lake.

This lake has given so much to so many of us. Today, we have the chance to give something back. Please donate today and help keep this community strong for the generations who will love it next.

Founded in 1917, the Lake Waramaug Association is a 501(c)(3) membership organization whose mission is to preserve Lake Waramaug and its environs as a natural, historical, residential, and recreational area and to promote the safety, health, and enjoyment of those who use the Lake.
