The 12th Can

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to eliminate hunger at Texas A&M, raise awareness about food insecurity in college communities, and demonstrate the power of the Aggie Spirit.

The 12th Can is a 501(c)(3) student-led nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity at Texas A&M University. Since 2013, we've served the Aggie community through biweekly pantry openings, offering nonperishable goods as well as perishable items like milk, eggs, cheese, frozen fruits and vegetables, bread, and fresh produce using our 7 refrigerator and freezer units. Clients can also shop in our Hygiene Room, which provides essential hygiene and household items-from toothbrushes to paper towels to can openers-reflecting a holistic approach to fighting food insecurity.
Entirely student-run, our team oversees all operations, from ordering food and sorting donations to staffing the pantry. Our diverse team brings unique perspectives and a shared dedication to selflessly serving the Aggie community. Our top priority is our clients' comfort and dignity. Through our client-choice model, we offer a welcoming shopping experience with nutritious options tailored to individual needs, all while protecting anonymity. It's our honor to support fellow Aggies as part of the Aggie Family.
