The Blessing Board

The Blessing Board is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that picks-up and receives donated furniture, appliances and household goods then re-donates them to people who need them at no cost. We are currently located in Oakmont and serve Allegheny County and surrounding areas.

The need is great. We receive over 600 calls for assistance each month and currently serve about 100 families/month. It costs The Blessing Board approximately $300 to serve each family; our recurring funding base only covers about $175 of that. We receive no government funding, so we depend on the contributions of people like you. Your contribution to The Blessing Board will help provide beds to children who have been sleeping on the floor, furnishings for a comfortable living space, tables and chairs for a family to share a meal, and hope for the future. Our clients include veterans, recovering addicts, single parents, mentally and physically challenged, unemployed and underemployed, fire victims, previously homeless, and victims of domestic abuse and other forms of crime. Most of these people come to us because they do not have the means to secure even the most basic home furnishings. Would you please join us today to furnish homes with love?
