Why It Matters

Local farmers are essential to our community, but they often lack the time and access to tap into existing resources that could help them thrive.

What We Do

The Farmer’s Table acts as the connective tissue:

  • Connecting farmers to critical resources

  • Creating networking and education opportunities

  • Supporting marketing and visibility

  • Expanding access to fresh, local food through nutrition programs

Your Impact

Your donation helps farmers succeed, strengthens the local food system, and increases access to fresh food across Northwest Connecticut.

This campaign is made possible by four donors who believe deeply in that mission: Howard Rosenfeld and Sheryl Leach, Julie and Bob Bailey, Rob Bailey, and Susan Markert. Their combined commitment of $8,500 is waiting to be unlocked by this community.

Over the years, The Farmer's Table has:

  • Hosted 14 farm dinners connecting thousands of guests with Litchfield County farmers since 2011

  • Purchased tens of thousands of pounds of produce from the Northwest CT Food Hub for regional nonprofits, farm-to-school meals, and food as medicine programs

  • Welcomed over 200 farmers and advocates at the annual Farmer's Nite Out to engage directly with elected officials and agricultural leaders

  • Provided early startup funding for the Northwest CT Food Hub, now a thriving Torrington-based nonprofit

  • Delivered two free full-day workshops to over 200 farmers covering planning, management, and marketing, plus conference stipends and specialized training
