The Eagle's Nest of St. Clair County: (The Joseph Center)

The Eagles Nest of St Clair County / Joseph Center is a twenty-six bed (26) transitional housing facility that supports an average of 100 homeless male veterans annually. The program provides trauma informed care and wrap around services that support veterans as they work to improve their situation. We also provide , clothing, meals, hygiene services, intensive case management, substance use groups, transportation assistance, life skills development, and career development. The Joseph Center follows the "Housing First" model of prioritizing housing. We also assist our veterans with accessing healthcare and other supportive services, promoting stable housing and collaborative connections with supportive, community-based resources to assist in every step of the process of becoming independent. Since the program's inception, the organization has housed and supported over 740 veterans, provided more than 319,480 intensive case management hours, and served more than 6,291,550 meals to homeless veterans in need. Of the veterans served over the years, the Joseph Center Program has successfully discharged over 85% of veterans into permanent housing.
