The Nurturing Center

We provide comprehensive, family-focused services to prevent and treat child neglect and abuse. We are committed to nurturing trusting, caring relationships between adults and children in South Carolina.

The Nurturing Center provides therapeutic services to individuals and families. TNC offers individual therapy, family therapy and other support services. We work with individuals and families to address needs and provide them with appropriate tools to reduce mental health related symptoms. TNC provides a variety of services including: trauma services, individual therapy, family therapy, anger management, parenting and domestic violence counseling.

The Nurturing Center is a nationally accredited behavioral health center that provides therapeutic treatment services to children, adults and families. The Nurturing Center (TNC) was established in 1989 to provide unique comprehensive therapeutic treatment services to children and families dealing with issues of abuse and neglect.? This foundation for services is incorporated within our unique treatment philosophy: treatment is focused on the individual and their trauma when dealing with their mental health needs; early intervention is important; treatment is long-term; and treatment must be delivered in a non-punitive, non-judgmental environment. The Nurturing Center has a long history of providing comprehensive services to individuals and families in our community.

The Nurturing Center received over 300 referrals in 2020 despite COVID-19 and enduring a world wide pandemic. TNC worked to provide consistency to the community during a time of uncertainity.
