Reaching for the Stars Foundation

Our mission is to improve the academic achievement, self-esteem, social competence, avoidance of problem/high-risk behavior, and create health and fitness awareness by providing a relationship with a caring life skills coach who works to help youth achieve their potential.

Reaching for the Stars provides mentorship, life skills, early intervention and prevention programming to students who are vulnerable to educational decline, teenage parenthood and/or juvenile delinquency. We utilize the mentor/mentee relationship to serve as a buffer to negative outcomes. The strategy at Reaching for the Stars is to expose students to opportunities that will encourage their dreams beyond their environment, and equip them with the tools necessary for transition into adulthood.
