Threadhead Cultural Foundation

The Threadhead Cultural Foundation is a New Orleans-based non-profit 501c3 organization providing grants and assistance to musicians, artists, culture bearers, and others involved in endeavors relating to music and other artistic expression. Our grant recipients' work serves to preserve, promote and disseminate the cultural heritage of New Orleans and nearby areas of Louisiana.

Since 2009, the Threadhead Cultural Foundation has distributed over $975,000 in grants to musicians, artists and youth music and art programs.

The Foundation raises funds through memberships, donations, events such as the annual "Threadhead Patry" and an annual online raffle. Funds raised are granted to artists and artistic projects through an application process usually conducted in the fall each year… quite simply, the more we raise, the more artists and projects we can assist.
