True Blue Animal Rescue

True Blue Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit organization that takes in abused, neglected or abandoned animals, rehabilitates them and finds them great new homes. We educate the public on overpopulation and provide support by spaying animals for people who could not otherwise afford to do so. We offer an educational program in Washington, TX that teaches children about proper animal care, develops compassion and empathy and builds self esteem in children so they will become informed pet owners and future advocates for animals. We call this program ABLE (Animals Bridge Love and Education).

True Blue Animal Rescue has taken in thousands of animals over the last 21 years. This includes dogs, cats and horses. We have woked directly with law enforcement by taking in animals that they have had to remove from their owner. We rehabilitate them and find them great new homes. Over the years we have found ourselves with animals that are not adoptable so or have been returned due to behavioral or health issues. As a no kill rescue we take them back and keep them as sanctuary animals. This has left us with 25 horses and 12 dogs on TBAR Ranch. We enjoy having children come out and learn about the horses and help by brushing them. These hands on experiences allow the children to learn about animal rescue and how to properly care for animals. They are able to brush and provide care for our blind horses, horses with crooked legs and other challenges. Children learn acceptance and develop compassion and empathy through these interactions.

We also provide the service of spaying and neutering pets for people who could not otherwise afford to do so. In this way we are helping control the pet population and eliminating some of the stray population in the community.

The third is after she survived and is now a good girl, healthy and happy. God Bless you for this low cost spay.
