The Foundation supports innovative teacher projects that boost student achievement at all grade levels and in all subject areas; mentor and tutor programs that help students develop positive attitudes about school, life and themselves; at-risk student summer school programs, after school programs and various special education programs.

The Tempe Union High School Education Foundation (TUHSEF) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community-based that raises money to directly benefit the schools in the Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD). 14012 students in grades 9-12, 1362 staff members

Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD) consists of six comprehensive high schools and one non-traditional high school all with ethnically and economically diverse student populations. Five of the seven schools are Title I schools with more than 40 percent (or more) of the student population coming from at-risk low income families. The Foundation board members are dedicated individuals that have a passion for finding ways to support the programs and projects that are being cut by the State budget or may not qualify for State funding. In today's world, many of the students need extra support such as tutoring to keep them engaged and on task to ultimately graduate.

This year, funds raised were used for 1) Innovative teacher projects that boost student achievement at all grade levels (9-12) and in all subject areas 2) Mentoring/tutoring programs that help students develop positive attitudes about school, life and themselves 3) Anything is Possible Scholarship 4) Professional Development for TUHSD staff 5) at-risk student summer programs and after school programs that encourage continuous learning and 6) various special education programs.
