Two by Two Character Development inspires children to be kindhearted toward all living things, connecting the teaching of core values like Kindness, Empathy, Respect, and Responsibility with the love of animals. When instruction goes through the heart, it sticks.

In our Kindhearted Kids program, every second grader receives their own stuffed cat or dog to care for throughout the year — a simple, magical moment that opens the door to lessons about empathy, kindness, and our Golden Rule: "Treat ALL living things the way you want to be treated."

Over 20 years, what started in a teacher's basement has grown into a well-respected nonprofit reaching children and schools across our community and it's only possible because of donors like you.
