Tyler ISD Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The Tyler ISD Foundation is the non-profit, philanthropic partner of Tyler ISD, providing resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and enhance opportunities for our students through exemplary programs. Tyler ISD Foundation is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation promoting quality education in Tyler ISD. Since its creation, the Tyler ISD Foundation has invested over $3.8 million in the District through innovative teaching grants, parent and student programs, professional development and support, scholarships, and academic & teaching recognition events. The work of the Foundation is simple: seek funds to grant those funds in meaningful & impactful ways within Tyler ISD.

"When a student's basic needs are met, they are more likely to reach their academic goals in the classroom." This year for East Texas Giving Day, we're focusing our efforts on raising $10,000 for our campus Care Closets.

What are Care Closets?
The Tyler ISD Foundation Care Closets are on-campus closets filled with clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies for students in need. The closets also double as the food pantry for the weekend backpack program, which provides bags of shelf-stable food items that can be used to prepare two meals for a family of four for $7 - $9.
