Ulster Project New Orleans

A nonprofit organization

The New Orleans Ulster Project Mission Statement is to work for real peace in Northern Ireland, to create a deeper understanding in the United States of the issues which have inhibited peace. The pursuit of the mission comes through building an inclusive and cohesive community among all the diverse participants from both Northern Ireland and the U.S., between those two geographically separated but pared areas in from which Ulster Project people share common aspirations.

For over 25 years the Ulster Project New Orleans has brought teens over from Castlederg, Northern Ireland to spend a month with host families who have teens the same age. The teens that come and host families of New Orleans are half Catholic and half Protestant so that everyone can learn to live and work together regardless of religious preference.
The program is run by volunteers, so 100% of your donations go directly to the project.
