USA Cares' mission is to provide post-9/11 military veterans, service members, and their families with emergency financial assistance and post-service skills training that will create a foundation for long-term stability. Our services improve the quality of life for veterans and their families and reduce potential factors that contribute to veteran suicide.
We provide several programs to help bring hope and healing to those who have served:
Military Assistance Response Program - assists veterans or service members who are facing temporary hardships by paying essential bills as a result of a military services-related incident.
Career Transition - provides individuals with tools and resources to better prepare them for the hiring process, and refers qualified candidates to corporate organizations with open positions specific to their skill set.
Financial Education & Empowerment Program - as part of the application process, this program arms military families with the tools they need to be prepared with the unexpected happens.
Every week, we receive hundreds of requests from veterans, service members, and their families. Since 2003, we have responded to over 100,000 requests and supported our heroes with millions of dollars in aid grants.
Our efficiency maximizes your gift's impact - 87 cents of every dollar raised directly supports the programs and services we provide.
Each gift made during this campaign will allow us to further our mission to reduce factors contributing to veteran suicide, and support post-9/11 veterans and military families all over the nation.
USA Cares provides financial and advocacy assistance to post-9/11 active duty U.S. military service personnel, veterans and their families. We assist all branches of service, all ranks and components and treat all with privacy and dignity in appreciation for their service and sacrifice. We never charge fees nor accept repayment and rely on donations from private citizens, businesses and foundations for all funding. Our goal is to help restore financial stability and self-sufficiency by giving 'a hand up not a hand out.' We strive to reach families at the earliest stage of intervention to prevent further financial distress and suffering, especially for the combat injured and their families.
