Valley View Volunteer Fire Department

Valley View Volunteer Fire is a small fire department in Comanche County.  We were established in in 2012 and since have grown to be one of the leading volunteer departments.   We have an ISO rating of a 3 which is the lowest rating of any rural department in our county.  We are also the first volunteer fire department to obtain a State of Oklahoma Emergency Medica Response Agency.  Valley Vew VFD also teaches CPR once a month to those who are needing the CPR class. We rely on grants and donations to fund our department.  Since we are a fire department in an unincorporated area, we do not have a steady income from any town.  Last year we were able to upgrade our SCBA air packs and bring them into NFPA compliance.  This year we would like to purchase more SCBA tanks along with Thermal Imaging Cameras.  Most of our trucks are older and we try to put back some funds into a savings account to one day be able to purchase a new brush truck. We also have a goal to be able purchase a cardiac monitor to assist us on medical calls.  This one item is very expensive, and we are searching for matching grants to purchase this item.   We have a lot of items on our wish list.  All items are assisting us in providing better care for our patients and those we serve.
