The Vandergrift Public Library provides materials, technology and classroom opportunities to enrich, educate and entertain people of all ages.

In existence since 1901. A volunteer Chess Master teaches chess to children in grades K-8th each winter. A Dr. Seuss celebration of his books is held each March for children of all ages. Early Literacy story times for babies and preschoolers are provided each Spring and Fall. A huge summer reading program is provided to children and teens during the month of July that attracts 100+ youth. A teen program called "After Hours" is held each second Monday of the month. Adults participate in a book club, a writer's group or needle arts group each month. New this year, art classes for people of all ages. The art classes include beading, canvas art and folk art.
