Our mission is to empower veterans' transition from homeless to home, ending the cycle of homelessness to become engaged, valuable citizens who contribute to their communities. Our vision is a community where veteran homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring and where veterans are valued, productive, and respected citizens who contribute to their community.

Since 1996, Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard has fulfilled its mission to empower veterans in their journey from homelessness to stability, striving to end cycles of homelessness and to support veterans in becoming self-sufficient and active members of their communities. Veterans Place provides a supportive environment for homeless and at-risk veterans to build the skills necessary to meet life's challenges, secure permanent housing and employment, and lead fulfilling lives.

VP serves over 1,000 homeless and at-risk vets annually through its continuum of care that includes four key programs: the Veterans Resource Center Program (VRC), the Transitional Housing Program (THP), and the Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program (HVRP), also known as our Workforce Development Program.

Veterans Resource Center (VRC) - A drop-in facility offering transportation from local shelters, meals, case management, housing assistance, and services targeting the root causes of homelessness. Using the Veterans Place dedicated van, Veterans Place staff drive to local shelters and canvas streets where homeless veterans are known to congregate and transport vets to the Resource Center on the Veteran
