Village of the Coastside

Like Villages around the world, the Village of the Coastside supports and enhances the well-being of its Villagers.  Our Village is made up of older Coastsiders who choose to remain in their own homes and be engaged in the community as they age.  

The Village works to maximize individual independence and minimize social isolation. Beyond the day to day, we seek to make the lives of our members more colorful, adventurous and satisfying.  Village members come together to learn new things, share interests, and enjoy each other’s company.  Together we grow and thrive through these connections.

Basic membership includes includes information, activities and programs to support Aging Better as we navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging.  This includes tech and social media training; dining, happy hours and coffee meetups; educational and health programs; games and outdoor recreation as well as theater, symphony and museum trips. 

Our members advocate for their own future and that of their friends participating in Age Friendly initiatives including health and transportation issues. 

MembersPLUS members receive all the regular member benefits with the addition of screened and trained service volunteers who offer personalized services to save money, reduce stress and simplify aging in place.  We are expanding services for more rides and destinations, loan of medical devices and increased home and garden maintenance. 

 We welcome all Coastside older adults and the families who support them.
