Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis

A nonprofit organization

Since our establishment as the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis (VNA) in 1911, we have been recognized as a trusted leader for excellence in community healthcare. VNA is an independent, local, community-based organization, which has always adapted to meet the changing healthcare needs of the St. Louis community. The VNA care model allows us to be at the center of the care continuum. Our unique community based Advanced Illness Management (AIM) program allows us to care for homebound individuals who have chronic, serious illnesses. We also provide End-of-Life Care for those with terminal illnesses. The Vaccination & Wellness Services program allows us the opportunity provide many different types of vaccines to promote a healthy community. VNA's patients include a wide range of individuals, including low-income children and adults, veterans, older adults and the community at large.

The Visit-A-Bit program was designed by VNA to address senior adult loneliness in the Greater St. Louis Area. It is a weekly socialization program that connects volunteers with seniors, who may be living alone. The program pairs them together to develop meaningful relationships, which may improve quality of life and promotes independence.
