Our mission is to be led wherever we are needed and do anything to help the underserved in our community. This is our calling as the Volunteers of America. Since 1896, our mission has been to serve and uplift vulnerable populations, and for others to experience the joy of serving. Today, we serve over 28,000 people annually, including: - Behavioral Health - Children & Families - Housing - Intellectual Disabilities - Substance Recovery Services - Seniors - Veterans

Since 1896, Volunteers of America's ministry of service has supported and empowered America's most vulnerable people, touching the mind, body, and spirit of those we serve. VOASELA addresses the most challenging issues of the day and develops innovative solutions to meet the needs of our community. We offer more than 30 human services programs that support and empower children, families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans within 16 south Louisiana parishes. Delivering lifesaving short-term and lifelong services to those in need, we serve over 28,000 of the most underserved individuals in our community annually. As an affiliate of a leading national human service charity, Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana has a rich history and a promising future in south Louisiana.

•$25 - Covers basic supplies and snacks for individuals in need.
• $50 - Will provide transportation for individuals with intellectual disabilities to receive the health care needed.
• $100 -Helps fund recreational activities, arts programs, or adaptive classroom materials.
• $150 - Provides life skills training to IDD consumers
• $200- Provides consumers with 24/7 Direct Service Care
