Water Wise Gulf South

Water Wise Gulf South is a group of water professionals who share a commitment to strengthening public awareness and use of Green Infrastructure in the Gulf South.

Water Wise Gulf South provides assistance to individuals, neighborhoods, and communities to decrease the risk of localized flooding. We promote community-driven, ecologically-based solutions, known as green infrastructure. Green infrastructure improves drainage and water quality by infiltrating, filtering, and detaining rainwater runoff.

Our approach is to build community leadership and demonstrate green infrastructure systems. We accomplish this by providing technical assistance, educational programming, green infrastructure leadership training, and green infrastructure implementation.
