Wayne County Arts Alliance

Wayne County Arts Alliance is dedicated to "enriching our community through the arts".  Our programs and events promote arts awareness and showcase the county's arts community.

We opened our own building in June 2023 at 959 Main St. Honesdale PA which is now our Headquarters, two gallery spaces and our Artisan Shop.  

The Wayne County Arts Alliance was created in 2003 by six professional artists here in Wayne County to promote the Arts in Wayne County and to raise funds to host an Artists' Open Studio Tour. Since then we have grown to over 300 members and our activities have ranged from Movie Nights and Writer's Workshops to Student Art Exhibits and Summer Outdoor Art Displays. We depend on donations and our membership dues to fund our many projects and events.

The WCAA is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization led by a volunteer board. Our mission is to enrich our community through the arts. Activities and events vary each year depending on the members' interests. We are what our membership creates.

We are professional artists, amateur artists, and art lovers who share an appreciation and love for the arts anchored in the belief that Arts in our community enrich the lives of us all.

• Some of our recent projects include:

• 
  WCAA Gallery - Now two exhibition spaces to exhibit artwork by Member Artists with themed group exhibitions that serve to promote and encourage new work by our members. and solo/small group exhibitions featuring individual artists.  Also workshops with local schoolchildren to engage and react to the art and create their own artworks.


• 
  The Great Wall of Honesdale - an outdoor exhibit of twelve 11'x17' artwork panels.  The 2025 Wall is our 10th edition of this annual project. installation in early June.


• 
  Artists' Studio Tour - 2025 dates are July 11, 12, 13.  This will be our 22st Annual Tour. The annual Tour invites the public to "Meet the Artists" and visit the studios where their artwork is created.  Free to all.


• 
  Outdoor Summer Art - this year's project is "The Chair" - Each created by a local artist and displayed at area businesses.  See the map on our website to find them all.  On display Memorial Day - Labor Day followed by an online fundraising auction.  Past projects have included deer, birdhouses, chairs, clocks, tables, benches, mailboxes and more.

  Paint the Town, Hawley - a collaboration between WCAA and the Downtown Hawley Partnership and the Foundation for Harmony Presents.  Original artwork printed on 34 colorful banners.


• 
  Sketchbook Parti - a book of members sketches.  2025 is our 8th edition. Each new and renewing membership receives a copy of the current book.


• 
  Halloween Bash - an adult dance party with live music and Costume Contest for the community.


• 
  Art Under $100 - Our Annual Holiday December Art Sale.
