Here's what mini-grant recipients have to say:

"My experience with Side by Side was
incredible…working with the symphony
really shows me how beautiful the music
can sound when played as a group."

-Rebecca, Nonnewaug High School

"Music makes me feel relaxed and it helps me in school. When I play it, I feel good. Everyone at school wants to hear me play in music class. I love music!"

-Ryan, Woodbury Middle School

"I wanted to try something new in addition to the violin. This mini-grant gave me an opportunity to take African Drumming where I learned about another culture and made new friends."

- Ian, Region 14 Elementary School
