West End School

Who We Are

West End School (WES) is a tuition-free, independent, school in West Louisville focused on providing a quality education to boys from under-resourced households in grades Pre-K to 8. WES was founded on the belief that any student can thrive in a safe and stable environment imbued with clear values, high expectations and strong support.

WES began in 2005 with 3 middle school students. Since then, WES has grown to serve 140 students on our 5 acre campus in the Chickasaw neighborhood. In August 2025, West End School will open for Girls starting with grades Pre-K, K, 1st and 2nd grade.  WES assists students in reaching their full potential through academically rigorous programs, highly individualized instruction,  leadership training and  an environment that encourages respect and responsibility.
