The West Louisville Performing Arts Academy is a 501 c3 non-profit organization.  We address the artistic, academic and social development of youth through the performing arts. The WLPAA is comprised of a Boys and Girls Choir.  Throughout the year we have various activities such as our Summer Music Camp.  The Camp is extremely exciting and fun.  We have a residential camp where the children actually live on campus in dorms, eat lunch, are engaged in theory classes, group/sectional rehearsals, and have nightly meetings with the captains of each group.  The captains gather with the counselors/directors and discuss the things that occurred that day. In these sessions planned activities for the following day are discussed and questions are answered.  The Music Camps are used to recruit new students into the program, foster mentorship, and create life lasting friendships.  Whether the Camp is residential or a Day Camp new music is learned, guest artists come and field trips are taken.  To continue these life changing moments, perform in both Louisville and across the United States, requires funding.  I hope you will take the time To support an organization that through music prepares young boys and girls to be assets to a growing city and help an organization continue to transform the live of children and their families through the performing arts.
