Whispers Of Hope Horse Farm

Whispers of Hope Horse Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with volunteer staff. It is a facility designed to assist physically and mentally challenged individuals through therapeutic riding at no cost. Whispers of Hope Horse Farm’s goal is to provide a safe, educational and therapeutic environment for the horse and rider in a Christian based atmosphere.

Founder and Executive Director Mary Elizabeth Pearce donated the use of the acreage at her farm and has committed herself to making the facility a successful ministry for the riders, their families, and the many volunteers who provide time and dedication to the challenged children.

Horseback riding provides challenges as well as rewards. Riders are encouraged to expand the limits of their abilities in an environment that promotes success. What a blessing it is to see individuals with disabilities ride a horse. They sit tall in the saddle and their smiles light the arena. Their spirit is truly alive. All youth who reside in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma are eligible to participate in the program. After 22 years of service, many of our children have outgrown our program and it is time to start a new program for adult challenged individuals.  We will beginning a adult life skill program here on Friday morning, offsetting the Veterans morning Every other week.  They will be here for 4 hours learning about life skills, how to help themselves, make snacks themselves, set tables, clean kitchen, and learn to shop.  These adults, 18 and over will be able to learn new adventures as many are not in school any longer and will learn to help at home and some duties to care for themselves. Horses will also be a large part of the program, teaching responsibility and sharing.  We are truly excited about this program and will be needing to hire individuals to help with these classes as it is in the morning for 4 hours. Our facility is changing rooms to make this a rewarding time and we already have a waiting list to start.  This program will have a small charge to help cover cost of staff and supplies and we really need to acquire the donations to make this a successful program to grow as our youth program has over the years!  Looking for a place to volunteer with new adults , we look forward to seeing you here!  God has a hand in all we do and we want you to be apart of this great opportunity.
