WhoDunnit Murder Mystery Theater

WhoDunnit, Inc., WhoDunnit Murder Mystery Theater, is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt non-profit Kentucky Corporation for the performing arts dedicated to the principle that a well-crafted mystery is a beautiful thing. WhoDunnit is coming back strong after a Covid-induced hiatus. We need your support to remain the premier Murder Mystery Theater in Louisville. Your donations will be used for various operating costs such as costumes and props, set pieces and the like. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Founded in Massachusetts by writer Ann Waterman and veteran actor-director Joel Hellmann, WhoDunnit was born out of a group that gave an annual charity benefit for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. But when their annual murder mystery started attracting sell-out crowds, they knew they had to take it farther.

WhoDunnit quickly established a reputation for “Mystery Theater with a Difference.” “Our shows are real murder mysteries, with detailed story lines filled with clues,” says Executive Producer Niles Welch. “And there is an amazing wealth of talent in this group. From the wonderful scripts by Ann Waterman, to the directors, actors, technicians and staff, everyone works together to make it a great production, and full of surprises.”

WhoDunnit has an amazing variety to offer audiences in any season. Offerings have included ghost stories, lively holiday musicals, a Mystery Cabaret, courtroom dramas, comedies, costumed extravaganzas set in the 1920s and 1930s, and Ye Olde Murder Mysterie, a truly unique tale set in the year 1007, when mystical Druids reigned and people still believed in magic. “We keep the audience on its toes,” says Welch, and WhoDunnit shows will do that.
