$4,892 raised by 47 donors

WCN's mission is to protect endangered wildlife by supporting conservationists who ensure wildlife and people coexist and thrive.

The Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN) protects endangered species by supporting conservationists who ensure wildlife and people coexist and thrive. WCN's unique approach focuses on empowering local leadership in conservation, ensuring that wildlife protection efforts are led by those who best understand the area's contexts and communities. Through our 100% model, every dollar designated for a specific species or initiative goes directly to the field, with no amount taken for overhead. This commitment to efficiency and local empowerment has established WCN as a trusted partner in global conservation efforts. Since our founding in 2002, we have raised over $370M to help protect more than 115 species across 75+ countries through our three core strategies: our Partner Network, our Wildlife Funds, and our Rising Wildlife Leaders initiative.

Testimonials

"Becoming a WCN Conservation Partner has been transformative for our work.
In 2024, WCN donors helped Proyecto Washu raise nearly $200,000. This amazing support helped cover the cost of managing our conservation programs, reducing financial stress while we focused on big goals, such as getting the Ecuadorian province
of Manabí declared as a Key Biodiversity Area. This declaration covers the distribution range of the brownheaded spider monkey, and will help us restore habitat connectivity for the monkeys. Thank you so much for your generous support-it makes such a difference!"
- NATHALIA FUENTES, CO-DIRECTOR OF PROYECTO WASHU
