MISSION STATEMENT:  Window on a Wider World is committed to enhancing the knowledge of classroom core curriculum by providing experiential learning opportunities.

Our goal is to facilitate education programs throughout the school year related to each grade level’s curriculum, including TEKS objectives, and provide learning experiences in and out of the classroom setting.  Current research establishes that when infused with other subjects, strong instructional experiences can be transformed and position students to become high-level thinkers and achievers. The WOWW program truly is giving children and often their families a window into a much wider world than they ever dreamed possible.

Ongoing support is required for us to continue the program as we expand to more schools each year in the Texas Panhandle.  When you invest in WOWW, you are investing in the future of our Panhandle communities. When we give all children equal opportunities to learn, we all benefit.

We serve a diverse population in the Texas Panhandle.  Through the WOWW program, thousands of students in the Texas panhandle have experiences that they and their teachers never thought possible.  They learn about the science of sound (acoustics) by attending first-class productions from the Amarillo Symphony.  They learn how math is more than multiplication and algebra with a guided tour explaining the engineering genius of the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts.  These and other field trips help bring abstract concepts learned in the classroom to real-life experiences outside classroom walls.

WOWW was designed to help rural schools in the Panhandle, and
we need your help to include more schools!

With all the influences speaking to our children today through entertainment, social media, pop culture, and the internet, we need influences that speak nobility, virtue, and refinement that will motivate children to pursue greatness. 

Not all schools in the Panhandle receive hands-on, experiential
opportunities. Help us provide programs and career awareness to more students so that we can inspire the next generation. What an amazing privilege we have, that allows us to influence the next generation of leaders, educators, innovators, and professionals for the Amarillo and Panhandle community.
