White Mountain Symphony Orchestra

The mission of the White Mountain Symphony Orchestra is to provide an opportunity for its members to enjoy performing and improving as musicians while presenting high-quality musical programs for the enjoyment of the entire community that entertain, educate and nuture orchestral music.

The White Mountain Symphony Orchestra benefits all ages of community members in the White Mountains and the surrounding areas. We performed our Music IS Children's concert on March 1, 2018 for all the 4th and 5th graders in the Navajo and Apache counties who choose to attend. We performed two concerts and had over 2000 attending. It is a great educational opportunity for the students and inspires many to begin to learn to play a musical instrument. They also learn to identify the instruments demonstrated and to recognize the sounds they produce in all types of everyday music. We have several high school students participating in our orchestra as well as adults from all over the White Mountain area. We hold a concerto contest for high school and college students to have the opportunity to perform solos with the symphony as well as talented adults who have made music an important part of their lives. We often partner up with other performing groups (choirs, dancers) for enriching performances like the Nutcracker or other various works. We play a variety of music from classical to popular so all listeners hear something they enjoy. The symphony provides high quality music, educational and developmental opportunities and wholesome entertainment.
