Woman's Exchange of St Louis

We work with over 60 artisans around the country, 43 of the local artisans and makers live in the St. Louis area, selling and marketing their crafts which range from homemade pastas to our iconic cherry dress. We work with local immigrant and refugee communities providing professional and personal skills training, work opportunities and financial assistance. In 2003, we expanded our immigrant and refugee program to include an on-the-job work training program. Through one of our artisan programs, we are able to pay our artisans up to 70% of the retail price of each garment, often being able to offer upfront payment for their crafts which allows each artisan to create a financial budget based on items submitted not items sold.
