Woman's Choice Charitable Association

Woman's Choice Charitable Association supports families in the Greater Waterbury area with our two programs.

Our Community Doula Program provides perinatal support services for free (or low cost when funding isn't available) to Black birthing people in Waterbury. The goal of the program is to increase maternal health literacy, improve access to culturally competent care, and reduce Black maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. 

Our Family Pantry Program focuses on hunger, diaper need, and period supplies. 1 to 2 times per week, the pantry is open to the public to provide food, diapers, menstrual products, and other basic needs items.

Who We Are

Woman's Choice Charitable Association strives to help at risk families, navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Through our Community Doula Program, we focus heavily on providing our services for free or at low cost to Black families.
We aim to be a force at dismantling racial disparities in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We aim to improve pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding outcomes within the Black community where we live.
There is no other organization in our city, doing the unique work that we are doing!
