The Women Veterans of the Ark La Tex is a local non-profit organization formed to honor women Veterans who have and are serving in all five military services, Guard and Reserve. The group provides opportunities for women Veterans to come together for support, education, networking, comradery, community service, social events and fun. There are NO DUES. The organization meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 am at the Shreveport Vet Center, 1255 Shreveport Barksdale Highway (in the Shreve City Shopping Center, next to Burlington), Shreveport, Louisiana.
