YDC at 10 Years!

This year, we celebrate ten years! Ten years of innovation, community, creativity, empowerment, and breaking barriers for youth. The vision of one Brownsville native's idea to screen-print on shirts turned into a vital organization changing the landscape of STEAM professions. It took true intention and a vision led with the needs of underestimated youth first, followed by the unwavering belief in our vision from supporters like you and a team of talented professionals. Please help us see ten more years, reach ten more youth, develop ten more design cohorts—or even have ten more locations one day—by donating to our fundraiser. YDC has served 949 young people across 30+ programs and studios. 130 portfolios created. $215K in revenue earned by freelance alumni through our youth-led creative agency. Over $1M in wages earned by alumni from placements and referrals. Alumni go on to earn an average of $74K as junior designers, marketing managers, software engineers, and civic engineers, with the highest earning $90K!
