Youth Link Southern Indiana (formerly known as Communities In Schools of Clark County) was founded in 2002 to improve student achievement and coordinate resources for students and families to eliminate everyday barriers to learning. As one of 187 local affiliates of the National Communities in Schools organization, we introduced programs and resources to support student growth. In the summer of 2021, we relaunched as an independent nonprofit organization, Youth Link Southern Indiana, to better tailor services to meet the localized needs of individual schools and students in our local community.

Youth Link Southern Indiana provides academic resources, emotional and mental health supports, and enrichment programming to partner schools across Clark County and our Bare Necessities program in partnership with New Albany High School in Floyd County. Services often include tutoring, literacy mentoring, basic- needs resource distribution, after-school programming, service and homework clubs, and access to mental health services. Our model of services ensures that the whole community comes together to support the students of Clark and Floyd County.
