Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh

A nonprofit organization

The Young Preservationists Association (YPA) represents and promotes younger voices in historic preservation. Our organization uses community engagement and education to advocate for the preservation of historic sites and structures in the Greater Pittsburgh region. YPA insists that historic preservation is an essential tool for economic development and regional revitalization.

YPA provides a youthful voice for historic preservation and encourages young and young at heart to join in the effort to help save our region's heritage.

Our signature event and program is our annual Top Ten List of Preservation Opportunities. This list highlights sites across the region worthy of preservation. Sites are nominated by the public. This year's YPA Top Ten Event will take place on Thursday October 20th at The Frick Art & Historical Center.

Other activities include "Painting for Preservation," happy hours, workshops & summits on various preservation topics, walking tours, and other unique events or activities many of which reflect sites from our Top Ten lists.
