Zeus' Rescues

It is the mission, duty, and purpose of Zeus' Rescues to eradicate pet homelessness and euthanasia within the New Orleans metro area. The organization is further committed to community-building and pet education with a focus on children and the elderly. We pull animals from high kill shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. We receive no city or state funding. We are part of the nationwide no-kill movement and every animal deserves a second, third or ninth chance!

On Give NOLA Day 2017 we opened our brick and mortar location at 2520 Napoleon Avenue. 2018 was filled with lots of heartwarming stories getting animals placed into forever homes and expanding our foster family network. We were also able to pay two part time staffers for the first time to support our no-kill mission!

Our final outcome for 2018 was over 600 animals placed in forever homes and over 800 animals that came into our care! Without YOUR support we could have never accomplished this life saving number.
