My name is Reinaldo Lopez, most people call me Pachy, and I am the founder of Arts and Dreams Foundation Corp. I am running this fundraiser personally because I believe what we are building is unlike anything that exists for the people who need it most.

Let me tell you why I started this, and why I am asking for your help today.

I’m creating what I would have loved to have when I was fighting to find my place in this world without anybody in my environment with the capability of helping me. I have looked into the eyes of people who have survived things that would break most of us, survivors of trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, incarceration, and loss so deep it had restructured who they understood themselves to be, and what I saw in those eyes was not defeat, it was potential, waiting for someone to believe in it.

That is what Arts and Dreams Foundation exists to be, not a program, not a system, a genuine, science-backed, human-centered pathway from the worst moment of someone's life to a future they can build with their own hands.

What we are building, and why it is different.

Most programs offer 30, 60, maybe 90 days of support and then release people back into the same conditions that produced the crisis in the first place. We knew from the beginning that was not enough. Real transformation, the kind that holds, the kind that produces a person who never returns to crisis, takes time, consistency, and the right conditions at every stage.

The Becoming Program is a structured two-year journey through four phases: Rescue and Stabilization, Healing and Recovery, Education and Skill Building, and Reintegration and Independence. Two full years of wraparound support, clinical therapy, vocational training, arts-integrated healing, medical care, housing, and a community of people who believe in each participant's future as much as they are learning to believe in it themselves.

The Arts and Dreams Foundation's "BECOMING" program is grounded in over three decades of peer-reviewed research from landmark epigenetics studies showing that a safe, caring environment literally reverses the biological damage of trauma at the level of DNA expression, to neuroscience confirming that the brain remains capable of profound rewiring at any age. We apply these findings directly: every phase of our program, every staff interaction, every arts session, and every clinical intervention is designed to activate the specific biological and psychological mechanisms that researchers have identified as the drivers of lasting human change.

Participants move through four structured phases, Rescue & Stabilization, Healing & Recovery, Education & Skill Building, and Reintegration & Independence, each built on evidence-based methodologies including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Polyvagal-informed regulation, and Growth Mindset coaching. We don't just provide shelter and training, we provide the neurological conditions for transformation.

36 peer-reviewed studies informing the model

8 evidence-based trauma methodologies

24 months of structured, wraparound support

1 outcome: full independence and reintegration

Why I am asking for your help today?

I did not start this organization with funding, I started it with conviction, the unshakeable belief that the people this program serves deserve the same quality of evidence-based, comprehensive, dignified care that anyone would want for a member of their own family.

Building this program the right way, with proper clinical staff, appropriate facilities, evidence-based curricula, and the time it actually takes to produce lasting change, requires real resources. Every dollar raised through this campaign goes directly into the infrastructure of transformation: the therapy sessions, the housing, the training programs, the arts studios, the medical care, and the daily presence of staff who show up every single day believing in people who are just beginning to believe in themselves.

Your donation is not charity in the traditional sense of the word. It is an investment, in a person, in a life, in the neurological and psychological conditions that make genuine human transformation possible, it is an investment in infrastructure for the developoment of human potential.

If you are able to give, please give what you can. And if you cannot give today, sharing this campaign with one person who might is an act of generosity that could change everything.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this, for caring, and for considering being part of what we are building. This means more to me than I know how to say in a fundraising page.

We are becoming., and with your help, so are they.
